Lee” Miller (1907-1977), Poughkeepsie, New York was an American photojournalist during second world war. She was a US war correspondent for Vogue magazine, present at the London Blitz, the liberation of Paris, and she covered the concentration camps at Buchenwald and Dachau. Lee captured hundreds of noted and recognizable images during the war. Before the war she was a fashion model in New York City, spending time in Paris, and becoming a fine art and fashion photographer.
