Much of what we see and experience in the arts today are part of the visual arts. As an advanced discipline woman were at a disadvantage for centuries. Traditionally men dominated the visual arts. This left many women unnoticed, and their stories lost to time. We have dedicated our resources to telling their story. A vital and absent story of women and their accomplishments. We would like to rediscover their legacies whenever possible. We feel capturing the emotion of these stories is an important part of our work. We chronicle a family’s narrative.
Bring it forward
Create present and respond art (CPR). There is much meaning conveyed in many women artist’s works. Bringing their story to the forefront will define the cultural context of their story and the meaning of their work. How do we relate to the story and the artist? What make a woman an artist?
