Francesca Woodman (1958-1981)

Known for stunning black and white photography she is clearly known in today’s light to have mastered photography as an artist. Francesca was from Denver, Colorado she lived professionally in New York City, and studied in Providence Rhode Island at the Rhode Island School of Design. As a student she studied in Italy and attended private high schools in Massachusetts. Her recognition arrived in the years following her death in New York. Her work is clearly quite spectacular and can be found by simple internet search. she was the daughter of ceramic artist Elizabeth Woodman (1930-2018).
