Eleanor Fiedel Elliott (1924-2015) Hudson Falls, New York

Art student of Weber Furlong in the mid to late 1950’s. Eleanor was a member of Weber Furlong’s “circle studio” in downtown Glens Falls, New York. She painted still life and was featured in a documentary film about Weber Furlong. Eleanor was a schoolteacher in Hudson Falls and loved by many. When I first met Eleanor, she had read about a film project in Glens Falls in the Post Star. She attended a public forum about a documentary being filmed on the life of Weber Furlong. Eleanor approached me before the event ad said. ” I studied under a famous artist!” at that point we became friends, and she joined the project.
